Brian Smith

Brian Smith has over 25 years of work experience in various roles within the finance and insurance industries. Brian started their career in 1995 as a Manager of Insurance at Limited Brands, where they worked for seven years. In 2002, they joined Cardinal Health as a Risk Manager for two years before transitioning to Research Insurance Company Limited in 2004 as the Managing Director. Brian then joined Battelle in 2004 as the Director of Risk Financing & Insurance Management, a role they held for seven years. Brian was promoted to Assistant Treasurer and later to Vice President & Corporate Treasurer before ultimately becoming the Vice President of Finance & Corporate Treasurer, a position they still hold. Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in risk management, insurance, and finance.

Brian Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Finance and Risk Management & Insurance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 1995. Brian later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution, completing it between 2007-2008.
