Jana Heisler White

Jana Heisler White is a highly experienced Senior Scientist and Ecological Risk Assessor at Battelle since June 2021, with an extensive background in ecological research and education. Jana has held various positions including Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Wyoming, where teaching focuses on Approaches to Environmental Problem Solving, and has contributed as an Ecologist in environmental consulting, developing climate change vulnerability assessments and invasive species management plans for Native American tribes. Leadership roles include Natural Resources Team Lead at SWCA Environmental Consultants and Senior Scientist at Trihydro Corporation, managing teams of environmental professionals. Jana's academic expertise is supported by a PhD in Ecology from Colorado State University, an MSc in Plant Biology from Arizona State University, and a BS in Biology and Geology from Washington and Lee University. Past experiences include significant research roles and teaching positions that highlight a commitment to science and mentorship.
