Matt Travis

Matt Travis is a seasoned geoscientist currently serving as a Geologic Modeler III at Battelle since January 2024. Prior to this role, Matt worked as a Geologist for the New York State Department of Environmental Remediation from January 2022 to February 2024 and as a Reservoir Geologist at TotalEnergies from July 2015 to January 2022, where responsibilities included subsurface studies and project assessments for non-operated Gulf of Mexico assets. Matt gained experience as an Integrated Geoscientist at BP from August 2012 to April 2015, focusing on reservoir management and detailed geological mapping. Earlier in the career, Matt contributed as a Teaching Assistant at Penn State University, instructing various geoscience laboratory courses. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geoscience from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from SUNY Geneseo.
