Nancy J Hess

EMSL Lead Scientist For Geochemistry, Biogeochemistry And Subsurface Science at Battelle

Nancy J Hess has had extensive work experience in both scientific research and exploration geology. Since joining Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 1990, they have held multiple roles including Scientist and currently serves as the EMSL lead scientist for Geochemistry, Biogeochemistry, and Subsurface Science. Prior to their time at the laboratory, Hess worked as an Exploration Geologist at Duval Corporation.

Nancy J Hess earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of California, Davis, from 1977 to 1981. Nancy J then pursued a Master's degree in Economic Geology at the University of Arizona from 1983 to 1986. Finally, they obtained a PhD in Geology with a specialization in Mineral Physics from the University of Washington from 1986 to 1990.
