Marjolein van Houten

Marjolein van Houten's work experience includes positions at various companies in different roles. The most recent position is as a Product Development Engineer at Battolyser Systems since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Design Engineer at Pixelfarming Robotics from December 2021 to August 2022, where they were responsible for product development and defining the company's product roadmap. From August 2017 to December 2021, Marjolein was a Mechanical Engineer at TK Home Solutions BV, working on development projects for the R&D department. Marjolein also has experience as a Product Engineer at Lely Industries NV from July 2012 to July 2017, focusing on mechanical engineering, user interface design, and product design. Before that, they worked as an Ontwerper InnovatieLab at Sparta from June 2011 to June 2012, where they developed new bicycle concepts. Marjolein also served as a Project Manager at Ontwerpbureau Veeel from October 2010 to May 2011, leading the development of a new charm bracelet. Additionally, they worked as a Teacher in graphic design at Edutainment Nederland from December 2009 to October 2010, and as a Graduate at Basic Water Needs India from March 2009 to August 2009, designing a solution for treating turbid water. Their earliest work experience was as a Design intern at WeLL Design from June 2007 to August 2007.

Marjolein van Houten completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued their Master's degree in Integrated Product Design from the same university, which they completed from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Marjolein obtained a certification in "Faciliteren van Professionals (Brainstormen level 2)" from the Facilitation Academy in June 2021.
