Saeid Khalafvand

Multiphysics Group Manager at Battolyser Systems

Saeid Khalafvand has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Saeid is currently working at Battolyser Systems as the Multiphysics Group Manager, where they are involved in the development of the Battolyser system to produce Green Hydrogen. Saeid is responsible for developing the multiphysics model of Battolyser, which includes fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, and electrical and electrochemical physics. Prior to this, they worked as the Lead Computational Scientist at Battolyser Systems.

Before joining Battolyser Systems, Saeid worked as a Senior Technical Consultant at In Summa for three years. Saeid also has experience as an R&D/Product Engineer at Kelvion and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Technische Universiteit Delft. Additionally, Saeid has worked as a Research Scientist at The University of Texas at San Antonio and completed an internship at Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Laboratory.

Saeid Khalafvand completed their Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology from 2006 to 2008. Saeid then pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2009 to 2013. During their PhD studies, they also served as a Research Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh from 2011 to 2013.
