Javier Betancourt Pérez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Javier has held various leadership positions in different companies, showcasing their expertise in operations, manufacturing, engineering, and project management.

In their most recent role as Director of Operations at Humax Pharmaceutical - Farmatech, a subsidiary of Bausch Health Companies Inc., Javier is responsible for overseeing the operations of the company.

Prior to this, they served as the Plant Manager and Head of Manufacturing Operations at LG H&H USA, Inc Dominican Republic, where they led the production, safety, environment, engineering, facilities, and maintenance departments.

Javier also worked at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, where they held several positions including Site Leader/Plant Manager and SR Manager of Logistics, Maintenance, and Engineering. Javier played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of employees during the COVID-19 pandemic and was responsible for logistics, material storage, engineering, maintenance, research and development, and validation.

Before joining Johnson & Johnson, Javier worked at various Johnson & Johnson de Colombia SA, McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Pfizer, and Warner Lambert. In these roles, they gained experience in supply chain management, safety, quality control, and project engineering.

Javier also has a postgraduate degree in Engineering Management, specifically Especialista en Sistemas Gerenciales de Ingenieria, which they completed from 1995 to 1997 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali. In 1994, they completed the Programa Maestro de Seguridad Integral y Salud Ocupacional at Consejo Colombiano de Seguridad. In terms of their undergraduate education, Javier earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Ingeniero Mecanico) from Universidad del Valle (CO) between 1988 and 1994. Additionally, they have obtained certification in "Smart Manufacturing: Operaciones en la 4ª Revolución Industrial" from MIT Professional Education in July 2023.
