Mateusz Szalka

Mateusz Szalka has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mateusz started their career in 2006 as an Outsourcing Assistant at GlaxoSmithKline. In 2007, they joined VALEANT PHARMACEUTICALS INTERNATIONAL INC as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, and later became a Senior Analyst/Specialist, serving in that role until 2016. In 2016, they joined Polska Akademia Nauk as a Member of the Analytical Chemistry Committee. Simultaneously, they also took on the role of Head of Product Development and Technology Transfer Department at Bausch Health Companies Inc.

Mateusz Szalka obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemical Technology/Biotech. in Chemistry from Politechnika Rzeszowska im. Ignacego Łukasiewicza in 2006. Mateusz then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Sciences/Technology of Medicinal Products from the same institution, completing it in 2016. In 2018 to 2019, they earned a Postgraduate Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Pharmacy from Jagiellonian University. In 2016, they also obtained a Certificate in Advanced English (CEA) - CEFR level C2 from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
