Alexander H. Mo

Senior Scientist at Bavarian Nordic

Alexander H. Mo, PhD has extensive work experience in various scientific and research roles. Alexander H. began their career as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins University, where they demonstrated superior catalytic behavior of a novel porous gold substrate for protein crystallization. Alexander H. continued their research as a Graduate Student Researcher at Stanford University, where they focused on nanomaterials for drug delivery and analytical chemistry. Alexander also had an internship at Agilent Technologies, where they studied the feasibility of a protein digestion chamber for a microfluidic-based LC/MS chip platform.

In 2014, Alexander worked as a Global Scholars Program Analyst at PreScouter, Inc., where they contributed to technology scouting and innovation research. Alexander H. then joined the University of California, San Diego as a Graduate Student Researcher, where they worked on functional nanomaterials for drug delivery and served as a Teaching Assistant for an experimental techniques class.

Alexander's experience also includes working at Drug Delivery Experts as a Scientist, where they developed complex parenteral formulations and analytical methods for clients with early-stage drug programs. Alexander H. gained expertise in method development for HPLC, GPC, and lyophilization, as well as cleanroom manufacturing of drug products.

In 2018, Alexander joined Emergent BioSolutions, starting as a Scientist in Product Development before being promoted to Senior Scientist in Drug Product Development. Alexander H.'swork involved developing drug products and formulations, as well as evaluating multiple formulation approaches.

Most recently, Alexander has been a Senior Scientist at Bavarian Nordic, leveraging their expertise in the field.

Alexander H. Mo, PhD, has a strong education background in Materials Science and Engineering. Alexander H. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at The Johns Hopkins University from 2004 to 2008. Alexander H. then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree at Stanford University from 2008 to 2010. Dr. Mo further advanced their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from UC San Diego, specializing in Materials Science and Engineering, from 2010 to 2015.
