Cecilie Kærn

Cecilie Kærn has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Cecilie currently works as a Senior QA Specialist - CMO at Bavarian Nordic since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Xellia Pharmaceuticals from 2015 to 2022, where they held the role of Process Specialist /Project Manager. In this position, they managed projects related to production source transfer, capacity and compliance increase, as well as collaborated with key customers. Before Xellia Pharmaceuticals, Cecilie worked at Novo Nordisk from 2005 to 2015. Cecilie held various roles during their time there, including Professional in Analytical- and stability Scientist, Production Support, Stability Chemist, Analytical Chemist, and Maternity Leave. Cecilie was responsible for tasks such as stability studies, chemical and microbiological testing, QC testing of finished products, and fermentation and purification in the laboratory. Prior to their pharmaceutical career, they worked as an Analytical Chemist at the National Museum of Denmark, where they focused on HPLC and GC/MS method development for analyzing dyes in fabrics and bonding agents in paintings.
