Kenneth Riis

Kenneth Riis has a comprehensive work experience in the field of IT. Kenneth began their career as an Assisting Teacher at IT University of Copenhagen in 2000. Kenneth then worked as a Director at Neducate from 2001 to 2003. After that, they served as an IT Consultant at PUC, where they were responsible for managing a centralized IT infrastructure for seven schools.

In 2006, Kenneth joined ALK as a Service Desk Manager, overseeing support for production, research, and sales sites across Europe, the US, and China. Kenneth later held various roles at ALK, including Manager, Global IT Operations, Director of Infrastructure & Operations, and Senior Director of Infrastructure, Applications, and Security. In these positions, they managed multiple teams and handled IT operations, including service desk management, infrastructure, applications, security, and risk.

Following their tenure at ALK, Kenneth joined ISS A/S as the Head of IT Operations. In this role, they were responsible for IT support, hosting, computers, network, licenses, budget, contract, and vendor management. Kenneth led a team of seven IT technicians and one manager.

Before their current position, Kenneth worked as an IT Manager, handling managerial tasks from August 2019 to January 2020. Currently, they are employed as the Senior Manager of IT Operations at Bavarian Nordic. In this capacity, they are responsible for IT operations in Denmark, Germany, and the USA.

Throughout their career, Kenneth Riis has demonstrated strong leadership skills, global management expertise, and a focus on IT operations and infrastructure.

Kenneth Riis has a strong educational background in various fields. Kenneth started their education at Roskilde University from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication. Following this, they pursued further studies at IT-Universitetet i København and earned a Master's degree in Information Technology from 1999 to 2001.

In 2013, Kenneth attended Probana Business School and completed a Mini MBA in Organizational Leadership. Kenneth continued their studies at Probana Business School from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Certificate in Business Administration with a focus on Organizational Leadership.

In 2007, Kenneth returned to IT-Universitetet i København to pursue a Master's degree in IT leadership, which they successfully obtained in 2009. Finally, in 2016, they attended Copenhagen Business School to enhance their skills in strategic implementation and improvement, achieving a degree in "Improve strategic value using financial management" in the same year.
