Matthias Triebe

Matthias Triebe has over 25 years of experience in engineering and project management roles. Currently, they serve as the Director of Engineering, Facilities, and Validation at Bavarian Nordic, where they are responsible for driving performance, implementing engineering best practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing cross-functional leadership. Previously, Matthias held the same position at Emergent BioSolutions. Before that, they were the Director of Engineering & Projects Switzerland at Jacobs, where they managed a project management team and worked on large-scale projects in Switzerland and Germany. Matthias also served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Dynavax Technologies, overseeing various engineering functions and leading a team of 20. Matthias started their career at CAM Chemieanlagenbau GmbH as a Project Engineer and went on to hold technical project management roles at Triplan AG and Triplan Ingenieur AG. Matthias also worked at Novartis as a Senior Project Manager, Head of Operational Engineering, and Project Manager. Overall, Matthias has a strong background in engineering, project management, and leadership roles within the pharmaceutical and engineering industries.

Matthias Triebe completed their Abitur at Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Magdeburg from 1985 to 1987. Matthias then pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in equipment and plant engineering for the process industry, at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg from 1989 to 1994.
