Lawrence Duval

Lawrence Duval has extensive experience in the field of fraud prevention and analytics. Their most recent role was as the Head of Fraud at BAWAG Group, where they started in November 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Analytics Team Lead at LexisNexis from March 2021 to November 2023. Before that, they were the Director of LDuval ltd. from December 2018 to March 2021.

Lawrence also has experience in fraud prevention and risk management roles. Lawrence served as the Global Head of Fraud at WorldRemit from August 2019 to May 2020, and as a Senior Manager in credit risk and fraud strategy at NewDay from February 2013 to November 2018. Earlier in their career, they held positions at ING Direct, Lloyds TSB, and First Direct, where they focused on financial crime analytics, digital banking fraud, and card fraud strategy.

Lawrence Duval attended the University of Nottingham from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a BSc degree in Maths and Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Lawrence also obtained several certifications. In December 2020, they completed a Machine Learning certification from Stanford Online and a Mathematics for Machine Learning certification from Imperial College London. Additionally, in July 2020, Lawrence obtained a Data Science Professional Certificate from IBM.
