Omar Nimer

Omar Nimer currently serves as the Head of Collections & Recoveries for North America at BAWAG Group, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Nimer was the Director of Recovery Operations at SoFi from July 2022 to June 2024 and Vice President of Strategic Operations at United Holding Group from November 2020 to July 2022. Nimer's extensive experience also includes a significant tenure at Citi, where roles encompassed Operational Risk Third Party Senior Manager and several other managerial positions focused on operational support, fraud and credit risk, and executive communications. Nimer began a career in management at Sprint Nextel, leading teams and driving performance standards. Educationally, Nimer attended Baker College of Flint from 1997 to 1999 and Northern Virginia Community College from 1993 to 1996.
