Sonja Pein

Sonja Pein started their work experience in 2009 as an External Auditor at KPMG Austria, where they worked until 2012. In 2013, they moved on to Casinos Austria International, where they held the position of IFRS Consolidation. In 2014, Sonja joined BAWAG Group as part of the International Accounting team. Sonja then progressed within the company, taking on roles such as Head of Group - Regulatory Accounting and Head of Internal Audit Department - Risk Management, Accounting and strategic projects. Since February 2020, Sonja has been serving as the Head of Internal Audit at BAWAG Group.

Sonja Pein completed their undergraduate education at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2004 to 2009. During this time, they earned a Magister degree in Internationale Betriebswirtschaft. In 2007 and 2008, they also attended the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, although a specific degree was not mentioned.
