Niurka Valera

Niurka Valera has several years of experience in project management and bookkeeping/receptionist roles.

In 2012, they started working at M&L Provisions as a Bookkeeper/Receptionist, where they were responsible for daily entry of accounting transactions, answering phone calls, and organizing and filing picking tickets. Niurka remained in this role until 2014.

In 2014, they joined Walsingham Construction Inc, where they also worked as a Bookkeeper/Receptionist. Their responsibilities included handling basic bookkeeping in QuickBooks, managing payroll, and reviewing and editing proposals and documents. Niurka stayed with Walsingham Construction Inc until 2016.

From 2015 to 2019, Niurka worked at Atlas Builders as a Project Manager. In this role, they coordinated with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project progress, organized meetings, and handled monthly requisitions.

In 2019, they joined McAlpine Contracting Co. as an Assistant Project Manager. Niurka assisted the project manager in various tasks and stayed with the company until 2022.

Most recently, in 2022, they started working at Baxter as a Project Manager. No end date for this role has been provided yet.

Niurka Valera has a strong educational background in construction management and engineering. Niurka obtained their Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from CUNY New York City College of Technology, where they studied from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Associate's degree in Engineering at LaGuardia Community College from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Niurka has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the construction industry. In December 2015, they obtained three certifications from Procore Technologies: Procore Certified: Associate, Procore Certified: Subcontractor, and Procore Certified: Superintendent.
