Holland Tahvonen serves as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Global Business Units and Americas at Baxter International Inc. since October 2018, also holding the role of Chief Litigation Counsel. Previously, Holland held various senior legal positions at Apollo Education Group from June 2012 to September 2018, including Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Holland's legal career began at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, where a partnership was established after progressing from associate to partner from November 2006 to May 2012. Holland also completed law clerkships for the Honorable D. Brooks Smith at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Lawrence F. Stengel at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Initial legal experience included a role as a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins. Holland holds a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Michigan.
