Joanne Shatka is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in operations finance, internal controls, compliance, and accounts payable at Baxter International Inc. since 2003. As Operations Finance Manager since May 2012, Joanne has led the operations finance team, contributing to strategic objectives and implementing comprehensive planning for various business functions. Prior roles include receiving the Global Individual 2014 Ethics and Compliance Award as Manager of Internal Controls & Compliance, overseeing control structures and risk reduction initiatives, and successfully transitioning accounts payable processes to a shared service center as Manager of Accounts Payable & Controllership Process Improvement. Joanne's earlier tenure at Navigant Consulting involved managing significant engagements to analyze and quantify profits in complex situations. Joanne holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada.
