Christopher Boyd

Christopher Boyd has extensive experience in the news and film production industries. As an Assignment Editor at Bay News 9 since April 2016, Christopher coordinates and oversees the production of live and recorded news stories for a 24-hour news cycle. Christopher also owns NEW ERA FILMS, where the focus is on producing the award-winning documentary "The Cigar City," which explores the rich history of Ybor City. Previous roles include Weekend Assignment Editor at WFLA-TV, LNS Assignment Editor at WFTS-TV, and Associate Producer for PBS NewsHour, among others. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications from the University of Tampa and an Associate of Applied Science in Film & TV Production from the College of DuPage.
