Chief Engineer/Senior System Engineer at Bay Systems Consulting

Ted Libson has extensive work experience in various engineering and architecture roles. Ted started their career at Boeing Commercial Aircraft, where they worked as an Advanced Computing Technologist, guiding the evolution and integration of technical computing architecture for aircraft production factories. Ted also served as a Systems Analyst for Employee Travel during their time at Boeing.

After leaving Boeing, Ted joined SAIC as a Chief Architect, where they led a virtual team of professionals and contributed to the development of the Army's Future Combat System. Ted also worked as a Sr Middleware Architect and Team Lead, responsible for the Technical Architecture/Platform Services group on a DoD enterprise-wide human resources system.

Ted then moved on to QinetiQ North America (QNA), where they served as the Chief Engineer for the Defense Solutions Sector. In this role, they mentored a geographically distributed team and led the development of a DoD Acquisition Management System. Ted also mentored junior engineers at the National Defense University (NDU) and contributed to new business proposals.

Currently, Ted is working at NASA/MSFC - Dynetics Technical Services (DTS)/Bay Systems Consulting, Inc (BSC) as the Chief Engineer/Senior System Engineer. In this position, they guide and mentors multi-contractor teams in reverse engineering legacy applications and forward engineering for Application Portfolio Management.

Throughout their career, Ted has demonstrated expertise in architecture-centric, capabilities-based, and risk-driven engineering and has utilized Lean/Agile UML model driven development methodologies. Ted has a strong focus on lifecycle affordability, security, data integrity, usability, and system support.

Ted Libson earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they attended from 1974 to 1978. Subsequently, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, attending from 1986 to 1987. In addition to their academic achievements, Ted Libson also holds a Professional Engineer License from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, which they obtained in June 1983.
