Alex Phipps

Alex Phipps is an experienced pharmaceutical professional currently serving as Vice President and Head of Clinical Pharmacology Oncology at Bayer since August 2024. Prior to this role, Alex held the position of Executive Director and Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology - Oncology at AstraZeneca from June 2021 to August 2024. Alex's extensive background in oncology clinical pharmacology includes roles as Principal Leader and Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Roche from September 2011 to June 2021, as well as serving as Director of Research Clinical Pharmacology at Pfizer from January 1998 to September 2011. Academically, Alex earned a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Manchester and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool.
