Ernst Weber

Ernst Weber is a Senior Scientist and Group Leader in Antibody and Protein Engineering at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, overseeing molecular biology labs and managing teams responsible for antibody engineering and bispecific molecule development. With extensive experience in antibody discovery and optimization across various therapeutic areas, Ernst has successfully led cross-functional projects and established bispecific antibody platforms. Prior roles include Research Scientist at ICON Genetics GmbH, where innovative biotechnology solutions were developed, and a Long Term Fellow at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, focusing on protein engineering and characterization. Ernst holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, where foundational research in protein engineering was conducted.
