István Monostori

István Monostori, PhD, is a Senior Production Research Scientist at Bayer Crop Science, where they plan and execute a corn production research program in Hungary, aligning local efforts with global seed production objectives. They are responsible for field testing, data collection, and providing hybrid production recommendations, while also collaborating with various stakeholders to promote production improvements and implement new technologies. Previously, they held researcher positions at the Centre for Agricultural Research and the Research Centre for Genomics and Bioinformatics, where they developed extensive skills in gene mapping, bioinformatics, and conducted large-scale field trials. István earned their PhD in Crop and Horticultural Sciences from Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem and holds a Master’s degree in Horticultural Science from Corvinus University of Budapest.
