Tim Horlacher

Tim Horlacher is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in research, development, and business strategy. Currently serving as VP and Head of Research & Development, Strategy & Business Consulting at Bayer since January 2020, Tim also co-founded and leads SiBreaX. Previous roles include Senior Project Manager at Bayer and Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Tim's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from ETH Zürich and a Diplom in Biochemistry from the University of Regensburg, complemented by a Fulbright Scholarship at Michigan State University. Tim's early career involved research assistant positions at the Max Planck Institute and ETH Zürich, as well as a business strategy consultant internship at Simon-Kucher & Partners and experience as a paramedic with the German Red Cross.
