Vivek Shrestha

Vivek Shrestha is a highly skilled scientist with a background in genetics and genomics, currently serving as a TI Genome Design Scientist at Bayer since September 2022. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at the University of Missouri, and a Graduate Research Assistantship at South Dakota State University, specializing in maize genetics. Additional roles include a Technical Officer position with CIMMYT, focusing on food security projects in Nepal, and volunteer research at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology. Vivek holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Tribhuvan University, a Master's Degree in Biology with an emphasis on maize genetics from South Dakota State University, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics at the University of Missouri.
