Thomas Ebenstein

Thomas Ebenstein is a distinguished soloist with an extensive career in prominent opera companies across Europe. Currently engaged at Opéra de Lyon as a soloist for a new production of A. Berg's WOZZECK, Thomas has been a member of the ensemble at Wiener Staatsoper since 2012. Additional soloist roles include guest contracts at Hamburgische Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Semperoper Dresden, Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Salzburger Festspiele, and Bühnen Bern. Notable performances include roles in R. Strauss's works such as DER ROSENKAVALIER and ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, as well as in W. A. Mozart's DIE ENTFÜHRUNG AUS DEM SERAIL. Thomas holds a Master of Arts degree in singing and dramatic representation from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, completed in 2004.
