Most innovations are created where competences from various disciplines meet – from the initial idea to development and implementation in the market. Bayern Innovativ GmbH was founded in 1995 at the initiative of the Bavarian state government and promotes the exchange of innovations across industries and technologies, supporting primarily small- and medium-sized companies in initiating innovations. Bayern Innovativ GmbH closes existing technological gaps by selectively involving scientific institutes and connecting potential partners both at the same level and on different stages of the value chain. To do so, Bayern Innovativ works in five fields of competence: mobility, energy, material, health/life science and production/digitalisation. The networks of Bayern Innovativ GmbH presently comprise some 80,000 professionals from 40,000 companies and research institutes and 80 partner network organisations.
