Trevor Gamblin has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Trevor started their career as a Research Assistant at MtA Materials Science Laboratory in 2011, where they focused on power supply design, motor control, and system engineering. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at MtA SPARC, where their project involved investigating the feasibility of a photovoltaic-based system for detecting meteors in the upper atmosphere. Trevor then joined Pleiades Robotics in 2014 as a Junior Electronics Designer. In 2015, they started working at General Dynamics Mission Systems - Canada as a Junior Systems Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Intermediate Hardware Developer. At Wind River, Trevor served as a Senior Linux Engineer from 2019 to 2022. In 2022, they joined Dell Technologies as a Software Technologist and worked there until 2023. Currently, they are employed at BayLibre as an Embedded Linux Developer.
Trevor Gamblin has an extensive education history in the field of engineering. Trevor obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from Mount Allison University from 2008 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master's of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Ottawa from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, Trevor enrolled at Carleton University for a Master's of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which they completed in 2019. Currently, Trevor is pursuing a Master's of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Ottawa, a program they started in 2019 and is expected to finish in 2023. Additionally, in 2014, Trevor engaged in online studies at Saylor.org to further their knowledge in Systems Engineering.
