Abirami Santhanam

Abirami Santhanam PhD currently serves as Manager of Research Operations at Baylor College of Medicine since May 2023. Previously, Abirami held the role of Assistant Professor Research at the University of Houston from November 2021 to May 2023, where research projects in Ophthalmology, Genetics, and Molecular Biology were independently planned and executed. Prior experience includes positions as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, freelancer at Club SciWri, Group Leader at Cleveland Clinic, Postdoctoral Fellow at Academia Sinica in Taiwan, and Lecturer at various colleges in India. Abirami earned a PhD in Biochemistry from National Taiwan University (2006-2011) and an MSc in Biochemistry from Bharathidasan University (2000-2002).
