Leyla Fahim

Leyla Fahim is a Research Assistant at Baylor College of Medicine since January 2023, previously holding the position of Research Technician III. Leyla has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rice University from August 2021 to January 2023 and completed an internship as a Medical Devices Intern at Fannin Innovation Studio during the summer of 2022. Prior roles include Research Assistant at Cemvita Factory Inc., where Leyla worked with microbiology and molecular biology teams on cell culture methods for engineered cyanobacteria, and as a Mathematics Science Tutor at College Nannies, Sitters and Tutors as well as Varsity Tutors. Leyla also served as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Newtonian mechanics and electricity and magnetism at Bryn Mawr College. Leyla holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Rice University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College.
