Rebecca Yang

Rebecca Yang is a Resident Physician in Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine since June 2023. Prior to this role, Rebecca served as a Research Assistant at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, focusing on emergency health systems and urbanization in conflict areas, and at the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion, exploring the health impacts of statelessness across several countries. As Director at the NYMC Center for Human Rights, Rebecca organized forensic medical evaluations for asylum seekers. Additional experience includes internships and research roles at renowned institutions such as Karolinska Institutet, Stanford University School of Medicine, and Johns Hopkins Medicine. Rebecca holds an MD from New York Medical College and an MPH in Global Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, along with a BA in Biology and Music from Washington University in St. Louis.
