Laura Andolina has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Laura started their career as a Scientist at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in 2001. Laura then transitioned to become a Genetic Counselor at BioReference Laboratories in 2012, followed by a role as a Genetic Counselor at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo from 2005 to 2013. From 2013 to 2023, Laura worked at GeneDx, initially as a Senior Genetic Counselor and later as the Director of Clinical Services for MyGeneTeam. Most recently, they joined Baylor Genetics as the Senior Director of Clinical Support in 2023.
Laura Andolina received their education from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling/Counselor from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended SUNY Geneseo from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Laura Andolina holds various certifications as a Licensed Genetic Counselor. Laura obtained their certification from the State of Kentucky in September 2020, the State of Louisiana in August 2020, the Commonwealth of Virginia in August 2020, the State of Indiana in October 2019, the State of Ohio in April 2015, the State of New Jersey in March 2015, the State of Massachusetts in March 2015, the State of Illinois in March 2015, the State of California in February 2015, and the State of Pennsylvania in February 2015. Furthermore, they also hold a Certified Genetic Counselor certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC), which they obtained in September 2007.
