Ning Liu, Ph.D., DABMGG, FACMG has a diverse work experience in the field of genetics and research. They started their career at the University of Rochester, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in 2005 and later completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2011. During their time at the University of Rochester, they worked as a Doctoral Research Fellow under the guidance of Dr. Jeffrey Hayes.
Following their doctoral studies, they joined Cornell University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from July 2011 to September 2012. Their research during this time focused on an undisclosed area.
In 2015, Ning Liu joined Baylor College of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, contributing to research projects until June 2017. They then transitioned to become an ABMGG Clinical Biochemical Genetics Fellow, obtaining specialized training until June 2019. Subsequently, from July 2019, they took on the role of Assistant Laboratory Director, Clinical Biochemical Genetics at Baylor Genetics.
Overall, Ning Liu's work experience demonstrates a strong background in research, particularly in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology, and a growing role in leadership and clinical genetics.
Ning Liu, Ph.D., DABMGG, FACMG, obtained a Master's Degree in College of Life Sciences from Jilin University, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Engineering from Northeast Normal University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
In addition to their educational background, Ning Liu also earned the certification of Diplomate Certified in Clinical Biochemical Genetics from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics in September 2019.
