James Craig is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in computational biology and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Scientist at BayMedica since March 2019, James has demonstrated expertise in various research roles, including a Visiting Professor position at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, where coursework encompassed computational biology and metabolomics. Previously, as a Bioinformatician at the Chan Soon-Shiong Institute of Molecular Medicine, James contributed to the creation of a biomarker connectivity map for breast cancer. A Post-Doctoral researcher at UC-Berkeley, James focused on the regulatory network of Neurospora crassa using RNAseq and ChIPseq techniques. James also holds significant experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where research involved advancing pyrosequencing technologies and elucidating vitamin B biosynthesis pathways in Heterodera glycines. James earned a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a degree in Cell & Molecular Biology Genetics from the University of Maryland.
