Peter Antkowiak M.D.

Peter Antkowiak MD, MPH serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in Emergency Medicine at Baystate Health since November 2024. Peter co-founded IllumeMed in 2016, where efforts focused on healthcare innovation, particularly through the development of CareUpdate, a HIPAA-compliant communication platform. Antkowiak previously held the position of Chief of Emergency Medicine at UMass Memorial Health - Harrington until October 2024 and worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. Peter has contributed to various advisory roles, including the Advisory Board for the COVID-19 management platform CoVerified and Useful Science. Antkowiak's educational background includes advanced degrees from Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, among others, positioning him as a leader in emergency medicine and healthcare management.
