Simon Byrne

Simon Byrne has an extensive and diverse work experience. Simon currently holds the position of Director of Digital Marketing at Bazaarvoice, a role they assumed in March 2022. Simon is also the Chairperson of B:You, an LGBTQ+ employee resource group at Bazaarvoice. Prior to this, Simon served as the Senior Manager of Global Digital Marketing at Bazaarvoice from June 2020 to February 2022.

In addition to their current role, Simon is a member of Peak Community, starting in January 2022. In 2019, they worked as a Musical Director and Pianist for North Shore Music Theatre in their education programs and also served as a Musical Director and Pianist for the Happy Madison Productions.

From 2015 to 2020, Simon worked at IFS, starting as the Global Manager of Digital (May 2015 to October 2016) and subsequently being promoted to Senior Global Manager of Digital (October 2016 to June 2020).

Simon's work experience also includes serving as a Musical Director, Arranger, and Keyboards player for various theater productions such as the Basingstoke Variety Show and the Basingstoke Gang Show. Simon has been involved in these roles since 2011 and 2012, respectively, and their responsibilities involved producing musical arrangements, managing orchestras, and conducting rehearsals.

Prior to their involvement in the theater industry, Simon was the Director of Lupo Creative LLP from October 2001 to April 2015. Lupo Creative is a marketing and creative production company offering services such as web design, graphic design, content creation, and multimedia production. Simon also worked as an Editor for the Sales Bulletin at Sun Life Financial from 2000 to 2001 and as a Technical Support Engineer at Tyrell Corporation from 1999 to 2000.

Simon Byrne completed a BA (Hons) degree in Humanities and Music from The Open University, where they studied from 2006 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Cricklade College in Andover from 1996 to 1998 for a Pre-Professional Music Course. In addition to their formal education, Simon has obtained certifications as a Sitecore Certified Front-End Developer and as a Sitecore CMS Certified IT Professional from Sitecore, in July 2014 and December 2013 respectively.
