Charlie Slater

Charlie Slater is an accomplished sports reporter and senior broadcast journalist, currently working for BBC Radio 5 Live since August 2022, covering Premier League, EFL, and European football. With a career at the BBC that began in September 2010, Charlie has extensive experience reporting on various sports, including football, rugby, basketball, boxing, cricket, and tennis, while also presenting and commenting across multiple media platforms. Charlie has contributed significantly to enhancing the BBC's social media presence and building relationships within the sports community. In addition to sports reporting, experience includes serving as a weather presenter and news journalist. Charlie holds a Master's degree in Broadcast Radio Journalism from Nottingham Trent University and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Chester.
