Frederik Sladden

Frederik Sladden has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry. Frederik began their career at the National Us Arab Chamber-Commerce as a Research and Publication Assistant in 1999. In 2000, they worked as a Business Analyst in Project Development at Taylor-DeJongh and as an Associate in Corporate Banking & Trade Finance at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. During this time, they performed financial analysis, supported credit applications, and maintained contacts with agents and customers.

In 2001, Sladden briefly worked as an Assistant Business Analyst at Dahman & Company and as an Editor for Yemen Times Newspaper and Radio. Frederik then returned to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as a Credit Analyst - Assistant Manager from 2003 to 2010, where they regularly performed financial analysis and prepared credit reviews.

Since 2010, Sladden has been employed at Byblos Bank Europe. Frederik held the position of Head of Credit Department from 2010 to 2019, overseeing credit file analysis and credit applications for medium-sized and large companies. Frederik also led and supervised credit-related tasks in various departments and branches. In September 2019, they became the Acting Head of Corporate Banking Department Brussels, and in September 2021, they transitioned to their current role as Head of Specialized Lending Desk, Corporate Banking Department. In this role, they manage large corporate complex structures and relationships, generating revenues and commissions for the bank.

Frederik Sladden obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics, Social & Political Science from UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles in 1994. Frederik then pursued a Joint B.A. & M.A. degree in International Affairs from Université catholique de Louvain, which they completed in 1997. Subsequently, Frederik went on to Georgetown University, where they earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from the School of Foreign Services, concluding their formal education in 1999.
