Andreas Akaras

Andreas Akaras is an experienced legal and policy professional with a diverse background. Currently serving as Of Counsel at Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC since July 2016, and as Founder-President of the Saint Andrew's Freedom Forum since 2013, Andreas also operates a consultancy focused on government affairs and business development. Andreas has maintained a legal practice at Akaras Law Offices since 2002 and previously held the role of Policy & Foreign Affairs Advisor for Congressman John Sarbanes from 2007 to 2014. Additionally, Andreas contributed to academia as a Non-Resident Fellow and Professor of Practice at the Dukakis Center for Public and Humanitarian Service at the American College of Thessaloniki from 2014 to 2015. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the John and Francis Angelos School of Law at the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
