Jose Antonio Carbonero Manrique

Jose Antonio Carbonero Manrique is an experienced finance professional with a focus on structured finance and investment banking. Currently, Jose serves as the Head of UK & Northern Europe Structured Finance at BBVA, leading a unit responsible for complex structured financings, including project finance. Prior to this role, Jose was the Executive Director of Structured Finance, overseeing origination, structuring, and execution of financial solutions in the energy, water, and utilities sectors. Jose's earlier experience at BBVA Continental as Head of Structured Finance and as Vice President Structured Finance involved advising on a wide range of public infrastructure projects. Jose began a career at BBVA in 2001, initially serving as a Relationship Manager for the Financial Institutions Group. Jose holds a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
