Paloma Marín Martínez

Paloma Marín Martínez is a professional with extensive experience in data science and algorithmic trading, currently serving as a Professor of Algorithmic Trading in the Master's program in Financial Technologies at Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE since September 2024. Since September 2014, Paloma has held various roles at BBVA, including Data Science Senior Manager, where responsibilities included developing advanced analytics models and business intelligence solutions for Global Markets. Other positions at BBVA involved monitoring trading algorithms and quantitative investment strategies and managing global analytics teams. Paloma began a career in research at Instituto Nacional de Estadística, focusing on the application of Big Data for official statistics. Educational credentials include an ongoing Industrial Doctorate in Natural and Applied Sciences at the University of Navarra, a Master’s in Computational Mathematics from Universitat Jaume I, and a Mathematics degree from Universitat d'Alacant.
