Christopher Whyte

Christopher Whyte has extensive experience in property assessment, currently serving as the Manager of Specialized Cost Properties at BC Assessment since May 2000. This role involves overseeing the consistent assessment of unique properties and setting regulated rates for various categories, including Linear & Gas Distribution and Major Industrial Properties. Previously, Christopher held Deputy Assessor positions in both the Courtenay and North Region offices, where responsibilities included managing equitable value assessments. Additionally, Christopher contributes to the Appraisal Institute of Canada as an Applied Experience Examiner, and tutors courses related to residential and income property studies at the Sauder School of Business, UBC. Educational qualifications include an AACI designation from UBC and a BA in Geography and History from Vancouver Island University.
