Emilie Carpentier is a Medical Physics Resident at BC Cancer since September 2017 and a PhD Candidate in Health/Medical Physics at The University of British Columbia, having completed the program in 2022. Emilie was a Research Assistant at the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario in 2016, where work focused on refractive index mismatch in optical CT scanners and the design of gel dosimeters, supported by the Harold E Johns Studentship. Additionally, a summer role as a Research Assistant at SNOLAB in 2015 involved contributions to the PICO collaboration, enhancing electrical and mechanical skills. Emilie holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Queen's University, where studies were completed from 2012 to 2016, along with initial graduate education in the same field at Queen's University from 2016 to 2017.
