Heather Armstrong is an accomplished academic with extensive research and teaching experience in the field of psychology. Currently affiliated with The University of British Columbia as an Affiliated Researcher, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Medicine, and Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, Heather also serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Southampton and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. Experience includes significant research roles related to human sexuality, including a Research Associate position at the Human Sexuality Research Laboratory at the University of Ottawa, where research focused on motivations for casual sex and relationships. Heather’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Research and Experimental Psychology from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of British Columbia.
