As BC’s independent voice for fairness and accountability, the BC Ombudsperson's Office works to make sure public sector organizations are treating people fairly and following the rules. We listen to and investigate complaints about local and provincial public sector organizations as well as investigate reports of serious wrongdoing in the public sector.

The Ombudsperson Team at the BC Ombudsperson's Office investigates and resolves complaints from the public regarding local and provincial public sector organizations. They ensure that these entities act fairly, adhere to rules and policies, and provide transparent and accountable services. The team also conducts strategic outreach and inclusion efforts to improve public awareness and accessibility of their services.
