Darren Giacomini

Darren Giacomini has over 25 years of work experience in the Information Technology field. From 1997 to 2005, they worked as a Networking Technology Instructor at Heald College, where they taught a variety of courses relating to the Information Technology field, including the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer program for Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003. From 2005 to 2013, they worked as a Sr. Network Systems Engineer at Pelco, where they assisted customers with network design issues related to multicast video deployments of the Endura system and performed assessments of switch vendors' product lines and determined capabilities of their routing and switching equipment. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Director of Video Networking at Avaya. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as a Director of Networking at BCD, where they were responsible for managing BCDVideo's networking product portfolio, as well as engineering networking solutions. In this customer-facing position, they also provided on-site professional services, as well as both on-site and remote training, and field-based instructional labs and certifications. Currently, they are working as a Director of Business Development at BCD.

Darren Giacomini earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Fresno between 1994 and 1999.
