Emmanuel Msengi

Emmanuel Msengi has over 20 years of experience in information technology and security roles. Emmanuel is currently working as an Information Security Manager for the FirstDay Foundation, where they are responsible for supporting security strategies and responding to security issues and alerts. Prior to this, they worked as an Information Security Manager for BCFS Health & Human Services, overseeing the security team and managing computer network security.

Emmanuel's previous experience includes working as a Cyber Security Engineer for Insight Global/BCFS, a Global LAN Tech Lead for Signify, and a Senior Network Engineer for TravelClick. In these roles, they were responsible for network design, implementation, and management, as well as providing IT infrastructure solutions and managing office phone systems.

Before joining the private sector, Emmanuel worked as a Senior Network and Systems Administrator for 3-Points, LLC and a Senior Systems and Network Administrator for Restaurant.com Inc. Emmanuel Msengi has a strong educational background in computer science and related fields. Emmanuel obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science (Systems Networking and Telecommunications) from DePaul University, which they attended from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics Science (IS), and Mathematics from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) between 1992 and 1995.

Before entering higher education, Emmanuel completed their high school education at Usagara Secondary School from 1989 to 1991. Emmanuel also attended Kibasila Secondary School for their ordinary level secondary education from 1985 to 1988.

In addition to their academic degrees, Emmanuel has obtained several certifications in the field of information technology. Earlier in the same year, they obtained the CompTIA Cloud+ ce Certification and the CompTIA Secure Cloud Professional – CSCP Stackable Certification from CompTIA in March 2022.
