George Castillo

Logistics Section Chief at BCFS

George Castillo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and government organizations. George started their career in 1985 as a Research Assistant at the Texas Comptroller's Office. George then worked at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of Inspector General as a Special Agent from 1991 to 1994. After that, they joined the U.S. Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General as a Special Agent from 1994 to 2001. Following that, they worked at the U.S. Postal Service, Office of Inspector General as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge starting from March 2001. Currently, they are working at BCFS Health & Human Services as a Logistics Section Chief since December 2015. In this role, they manage all incident logistics, provides logistical input to the Incident Commander, and advises on matters relating to logistics planning, facilities, communications, and the movement of goods, services, and personnel.

George Castillo attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Government. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a postgraduate education at Texas State University in 1983-1984, specializing in Legal Assistant/Paralegal. Additionally, in May 1984, George obtained a Legal Assistant Certification from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
