Gunnar Trommer

Gunnar Trommer is a managing director and partner at BCG Digital Ventures, as well as the head of the Los Angeles Center. Gunnar has over fifteen years of experience in the medical technology and digital health industries. Prior to joining BCG, Gunnar was the founder and president of Pons Consult, a company that provides product definition, go-to-market strategy, branding/positioning/messaging, business model / pricing definition, strategic partner relationships, and other services to digital health companies. Gunnar has also served as a scientific advisor for nPruv and as vice president of marketing and business development for Sotera Wireless.

Gunnar Trommer received their Dipl.-Ing. (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. Gunnar then pursued their Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. After completing their Ph.D., Trommer remained at the University of California, Berkeley as a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering department.

Gunnar Trommer reports to Beth Viner, DV Managing Director & Partner, North America Regional Lead. They work with Ashkan Afhkami - DV Managing Director & Partner, New York Center Lead, Jeff Ahlquist - DV Managing Director & Partner, Chicago Center Lead.
