Rachel McMillan

Rachel McMillan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Rachel is currently the Head of Finance at BCHA, where they have been since 2019. Prior to this role, Rachel held the position of Financial Controller at BCHA and was responsible for guiding financial decisions and managing a team of five.

Rachel also has experience in the charity sector, serving as a Board Trustee for Salisbury Trust for the Homeless since 2021.

In addition, Rachel has held various finance roles in other organizations, including Appello UK, where they served as an IT Transition Project Manager and later as an Interim Financial Controller. At Carnival UK, Rachel worked as a Financial Accountant overseeing control agenda across finance.

Rachel's previous roles also include Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager Projects at Spectrum Housing Group, where they provided financial management information, influenced projects, and ensured compliance with accounting standards.

Before these roles, Rachel worked as an Accountant/Acting Financial Controller at Beagle Technology Group and as a Financial Controller at Charles Trent Ltd, where they implemented strong controls and processes and led a finance team.

Rachel began their career as a Finance Manager at Enco Engineering and Freightliner, where they were responsible for various financial functions such as preparing P&L statements, balance sheets, and management reports.

Rachel McMillan completed their secondary education at St Peter's School from 1988 to 1995. Rachel then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Bournemouth University from 1995 to 1998.
